Set in North Queensland, this book was really good. It pulled me in at the first chapter, when Eve is being chased . . . .
Eve's parents died 2 years previously and she lives on Magnetic Island. Tilly her sister lives on the mainland and has a history of bad relationships and drinking too much. Tilly dies in mysterious circumstances and Eve has made it her mission to prove it.
This a mix of mystery, suspense and following gut instinct. There is a little twist in there which I didn't expect. I was fully on board with Eve that I missed it. This is a great easy read crime/thriller debut novel. It will be interesting to see where Nicole heads with her next novel.
