A Disappearing Act by Jo Dixon

There are quite a few ticks for this book - Jo is Tasmanian.  She writes great pyschological thrillers and her book The House of Now and Then has been shortlisted for The Ned Kelly Award for Best Debut Crime Fiction (2023) and The Danger Awards Debut Fiction (2024).  Such a fantastic effort by a local Tasmanian author.

This book is an Aussie crime, domestic thriller with lots of psychological suspense.  Jo has a reputation for being the Queen of Twist and she doesn't disappoint in her latest book.

This book is set in Tasmania over dual timelines.  It follows 4 female friends who have a secret which they would prefer didn't surface.  But after time apart, their friendship has changed and a catchup spirals out of control.  A disappearance . . . . . . was it by design, accident or murder?

Jo is up there with Nicola Moriarty and Sally Hepworth.  This book is definitely worth the read!!  Can't wait for the next book!!

Happy Reading

Chris 😊
